  6. 2 Garlic cloves chopped.
  7. 15 g grated fresh ginger.
  8. 1 tsp chilli flakes.
  9. 2 portions egg noodles.
  10. Chow mein sauce ingredients.
  11. 2 tsp cornflour.
  12. 4 tbsp light soy sauce.
  13. 4 tbsp Ket jap Manis.
  14. 4 tbsp Oyster Sauce.
  15. 2 tbsp sesame oil.
  16. 2 tbsp white or red wine vinegar.
  17. 3 tsp caster sugar.
  18. Season with salt and pepper.

Chicken Chow Mein step by step :

  1. Cut chicken into strips and set in a bowl. In another bowl, mix the sauce ingredients and add half of the ginger, garlic and chilli. Stir until well mixed. Add 2-3 tbsp sauce to chicken and marinate for 10 minutes..
  2. Heat sesame oil in pan and add garlic, ginger and chilli and fry before adding chicken..
  3. Add peppers and onions and stir fry with chicken..
  4. Add ready to wok egg noodles and add rest of sauce. Stir fry for few minutes and stir through scallions. Season and if sauce a little thick just add a splash of water and serve..
